Melodize app for iPhone and iPad

This program it is for Primary/ Elementary School teachers without a musical training to give their students the ability to create and play music together in the classroom.

This is achieved by using a totally new music language.
It uses letters instead of the symbols, a grid instead of staff lines and a different method of playing that six year olds found easy to learn.
The notes are colour coded to represent the chord structure used.

The lessons appear on a panel and are easy to follow.
The student learns how to create patterns, followed by melodies and then how to play them together.
They go from one note to complex chord patterns.
The lessons provide the structure, the students give the content, all the teacher has to do is co-ordinate.

The melodic structure used is one of the most common forms of melody used in Western music.
Melodies created in this form always sound “right”.

There are two sets of playing “keys”, one either side of the iPad, to enable two students to play at the same time.
One side is set to low strings and the other to high to allow for differentiation between backing and melody.

Usually 70% of students will not have the experience of playing music.
This course is for that 70%.
Those who already play music will learn how to create their own.
The teacher does not to need to know music at all!
